In 2014, I left the CEA in Grenoble and joined the GEM team in the TIMC laboratory (Techniques de l'Ingénierie Médicale et de la Complexité) UMR 5525 CNRS-UGA with the aim of strengthening the fundamental research of this laboratory. Since this period, my research topics are based on the study of the biosynthetic mechanisms of isoprenoid quinones, which are electron transporters in the respiratory chains. We are working in particular on ubiquinone commonly called coenzyme Q using bacterial models such as Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Francisella tularensis or the eukaryotic model Saccharomyces cerevisiae. We try to identify the proteins involved in these biosynthetic pathways and to characterize the associated molecular mechanisms via biochemical, structural, genetic, phylogenetic and molecular modeling approaches.
