Congress grants

The SFBBM supports researchers in their research projects, by offering or relaying several grant schemes.

A collective dynamic to advance research

The SFBBM awards grants to its members who are up to date with their membership fees to enable them to attend conferences with themes related to Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

The grants fall into two main categories:

  • those reserved for candidates under 36 years of age, and
  • those for candidates over 35.

The age taken into account is that of the candidate on the first day of the conference.

Grants are awarded after receipt of a certificate of attendance at the conference and a sworn statement from the recipient stipulating that the grant amount is used exclusively to reimburse expenses related to the conference. It should be noted that the Unit’s director and financial manager will be informed by the SFBBM of the awarding of the grant and its amount.

These grants help cover the costs associated with attending a conference (registration, travel, and accommodation), up to a maximum amount determined by the geographical area.
