Mickaël Guérin

Mickaël Guérin, 26, holds a PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Technology of Compiègne (UTC), where he completed his doctoral research in January 2025 within the CNRS laboratory UMR7025 – Enzyme and Cellular Engineering,

under the supervision of Professor Séverine Padiolleau. His work focused on identifying molecules targeting Borrelia burgdorferi to improve Lyme disease diagnostics, leading to several peer-reviewed publications and a patent.

He also holds an engineering degree in Biological Engineering and a Master’s in Biotechnology of Natural Resources (UTC, 2021). He completed several research internships abroad (Canada, Iceland) and in industry (NG Biotech), working on protein cloning, expression, and purification.

His scientific interests include molecular diagnostics, biomolecular interactions, and cellular mechanisms.
